Nichole Yembra is the Founder and Managing Director of The Chrysalis Co which houses The Chrysalis Capital, an emerging market-focused tech fund, and The Chrysalis Advisors, a financial, investment, and strategy firm. Previously, she was the Chief Financial Officer for a PE-Backed $80M fintech holding company and served as Managing Partner of its investment arm. Her vision is to support emerging market tech companies building globally relevant institutions. For the past 6 years, her focus has been on transforming emerging markets through data and payments technology companies having invested or advised 100+ early-stage companies that have gone on to raise over $500M to date. As a champion of women in tech, she started GreenHouse Lab in 2018 which is Nigeria’s first female-focused tech accelerator aiming to close the investment funding gap for women-led and gender diverse startups.

Her vision is to support emerging market tech companies building globally relevant institutions. With her track record in enterprise financial strategy, performance improvement, data-driven decisioning, and corporate governance, Nichole has served companies in the financial, aviation, education, manufacturing, health, power, and consumer goods sectors in 25 countries.
Nichole began her career at Ernst & Young LLP, Atlanta where she specialized in risk and process transformation across several sectors including oil and gas, consumer products, manufacturing, and financial services. Previously, she was the Chief Financial Officer for a PE-Backed $80M fintech holding company and served as Managing Partner of its investment arm. Nichole is a member of the Inaugural Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Class and serves on the Council of 8 for the Shared Value Africa Initiative. She also serves as a mentor for Google Launchpad Africa and an Advisor to The Cortex Hub, a South African incubator. As a champion for women in leadership and technology, she founded the Garden Women’s Network which promotes the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in the Nigerian tech ecosystem, and GreenHouseLab which is Nigeria’s first female founder-focused tech accelerator and the first “Powered by Google” accelerator in Africa.
In 2017, she was named by Forbes Africa as one of the Most Promising Entrepreneurs under 30. In 2018, Most Influential People of African Descent under 40 (MIPAD 100), a global civil society initiative whose efforts are in recognition of the UN-backed International Decade for People of African Descent, named Nichole amongst its 2018 honorees for business and entrepreneurship inside Africa. For the past 6 years, her focus has exclusively been on transforming emerging markets through data and payments technology companies. She is an alumna of the Kenan Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a graduate of the Masters in Accounting program at Wake Forest University, and a licensed CPA.
